Overview

Nusbíhf Se was founded durring the early 9th century, by Mp̪f̄́r Härm 'Blade Bee' Vú̄bó̄ Sé̄̌ Mērm Griffiths. The establishment of Nusbíhf Se was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Nusbíhf Se's construction back out of the project. Mp̪f̄́r Härm 'Blade Bee' Vú̄bó̄ Sé̄̌ Mērm Griffiths pushed on reguardles, and Nusbíhf Se was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Nusbíhf Se was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 9th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Nusbíhf Se is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Nusbíhf Se is buildings are arranged within a network of restrictive split-log ties streets which form a rectangular grid, where each block verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller block has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town is protected by a well-crafted cobblestone fence tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. Nusbíhf Se's frontieer-style defences are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

A look around Nusbíhf Se seems to be home to a quite vibrant and boisterous community. Everywhere one looks they can see people going out their daily business with a smile and a spring in their step. Children play loudly in the streets, causing untold havoc as youth are want and allowed to do. On second glance, that chaos continues into adulthood. People seem to be allowed to do as they please with little harmoney to anything. It feels less like a town, and more like a spot people just happened to place their homes. Yet there are small elements here and there which show the underlying structure of the community. It’s just so complex, organic, and flowing one can only understand what is a piece of the puzzle, but not what its neighbors are.

Civic Infrastructure

Nusbíhf Se possesses a city-wide Aethary Link which provides Aethary access anywhere within its metropolitan. This allows citizens who can afford the relevant devices access in their places of work, and rarely homes.

Nusbíhf Se has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Nusbíhf Se. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Nusbíhf Se's parks.

Nusbíhf Se has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Nusbíhf Se.

Nusbíhf Se's old civil lighting system was converted to Galvanic Lamps recently, and expanded to provide nighttime illumination to all city streets.

Nusbíhf Se has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Nusbíhf Se's natural decorations nor waterways.

Nusbíhf Se has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Nusbíhf Se's locals despise outsiders. For some “outsiders” may be natives of foreign lands, while others might have a grudge against anyone from outside the community. These locals have an active loathing, and the outsiders allowed to trade or interact with them do so at a heavy disadvantage.

Nusbíhf Se's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by their massive, monolithic and 'blocky' appearance with a rigid geometric style. It was best known for its rough, unfinished surfaces, unusual shapes, heavy-looking materials, straight lines, and small windows. Modular elements were often used to form masses representing specific functional zones, grouped into a unified whole.

In Nusbíhf Se there are no smells.

The Bumblebee, Giant Worker near Nusbíhf Se are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.

Nusbíhf Se's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves drinking to channel Chronomancy energies of tier 2 via chanting.

Nusbíhf Se's roads were poorly made when first laid. Rather than repairing them correctly, a series of new roads was laid atop the old, leading to the streets of modern Nusbíhf Se suffering from potholes, cracking, and even sinkholes. The locals often repair the road by putting down wooden decking.
